There is a welcome proposal to greatly improve the level of enjoyment to be derived from participating in the amazing festival.

What is proposed is that each choir chooses their own works for each of the categories, the festival day is shorter, yet there is still the wonderful opportunity to rehearse and perform as a massed choir with orchestra.
